The Blob in Your Moog (or, Cleaning Out the Tarry Gunky Melty Foam from a Moog Liberation)
Переглядів 463 роки тому
I'm not a professional, but here's some info on cleaning all the nasty tarry gunk out of a Moog analog synthesizer, if it had the melted foam. If you like the incidental music, please feel free to check out more... toymoonmusic.bandcamp.com/album/psychic-pinball It features Malcolm Cecil (R.I.P), Dan Bitney of Tortoise, and the beautiful voice of Suzanne Ciani sampled from the pinball machine X...

It’s criminal that this video is 14 years old and has less than 10k views
Damn. I was at this show.
I cant find this full album anywhere now. Do you know where i can find it?
You can find it here: toymoonmusic.bandcamp.com/album/psychic-pinball . Thanks for asking.
@VoltronsHead thank you so much!
@@leafvi I hope you don't mind my asking, but how did you find the album the first time around? Before they (I think it was Stoned Meadow of Doom) removed it?
Amazing song, amazing imagination, this is mega unique style you made!
@@jarekkotek2719 Thanks a million! Are you into synths?
@@VoltronsHead I regreat I don't have entire album that consists of songs sounding like here. I regreat you didn't make enire album sounding like this song. This is absolutely something amazing, I have never heard this expression and this Spirit before. You are the art. Comparing to you, Talyor Swift sounds like vomit... I'm into synths, becasue I am fascinated about the sound that can be extracted from a unit.
@@jarekkotek2719 I haven't done a whole album like that. But I've done several with my band. And if you like that track, you might also like old tangerine dream. Like stratosfear and Phaedra. Amazing albums!
fantastico, thank you
This is my definition of rock stars.
Nothing cooler than Jonathan with a Jaguar.
Avevo avuto un rapporto di amicizia con i primi mercury rev ! Massimo dei Kindergarten ❤❤
This song breaks my heart every time
Fun fact: the song also came out only 1 day after Smurf’s did
I was there standing pretty close to you. Man, they were wasted, but excellent at the same time. Thanks for posting.
You know you're supposed to shoot them, right?
Glorious
FREAK ROCK AT ITS FINEST AT 5 AM
C'est merveilleux merci
3:01 It was an Hell of an concert, one of the coolest EVER.😊
Ultrapassa qualquer entendimento .
Gives me shivers!
J adore ce film et cette musique le meilleure
THIS IS REAL LIVE MERCURY REV FIRST DECEMBER 1995 ?
Yes. At least, I have no reason to doubt. I wasn't at that Show but saw many others at the double door. And Daft Punk is awesome too.
I HEAR I LOVE THIS BAND BUT I PREFER DAFT PUNK 2001
That album was unique . Has such a weird band ever become so normal so quickly ever before?
Testament to david baker and his chaos
As good as tho Slowdive got together with Galaxie 500 and late 80’s Flaming Lips With Kramer and Friedman fighting over the sound board while playing their respective instruments. These guitar pedals are so priceless, Grasshopper said he lost many over the years!
He sold one of his old delay pedals on eBay. I bought it. He used it on Boces and Yerself is Steam. I use it on my own tunes now, and it sounds amazing.
Wow!! This is one of my favorite Rev songs ever and from one of the best albums they did too :)
I was trying to reconstruct a live version of boces. I could never find hi speed boats or Bronx cheer. ua-cam.com/play/PL81A2F4B1E15625F3.html&si=Fu1UqNe0jBYZVJu8
Thank you!!!
Yes ! I saw this tour in ATL at the Point on Halloween.. Freakin blew my head off ! thanks for uploading this
The flute sound so fragile and beautiful, almost made me cry
That was what I was looking for. They just blew it clean out of the water. Amazing band especially the three first albums
!
MERCI COOL FROM THE THE EARTH
Saw MRev open for porno4pyros. It was loud.
Jajajaj no que hijueputaaaa video
David Baker is filled with the spirit. Joe Cocker ain't got nothing on him. The BEST front man of any rock band EVER!!!
Wrong glass sir you want the cup with old town road and colt 45 malt liquor with aids chiggen and watermelon covered in Coco butta fllies and rice sangin we are the welfare recipants of the world 🖕
best trip ever
Wow🌟
<33
I was at this show.....and now Grasshopper and I have a band together and Im going to produce the next Rev album.....
Cool story! From fan to band member. What's yer new band called? Any tracks released? I'd love to hear! I made an album with David Baker once, and own a delay pedal from Grasshopper. Good luck with the new album. It'll sound fab!
@@VoltronsHead Wait seriously? What’s the album you and Baker made called?
2:43 and 4:35 are either the greatest guitar sweeps or the most fortuitous VHS distortions i've ever heard
well spotted dude ! VHS : Very High & Sweet
greatest guitar sweeps not video
Spaghet killing it
I was there! Thanks for posting!!
beautiful
Takes me back to being on the bong in 92.The best rock n roll performance since Elvis wore a leather jumpsuit.
This feels to me like rock music's final leap. Early Mercury Rev and early nineties Flaming Lips. Always did, sort of.
what about atdi / mars volta
I saw flaming lips in the late 80s/early 90s on tour with the Butthole surfers and Flaming lips just blew away like this clip right here because I never saw mercury rev💔
wild
Holy moly!!
I've had to clean/replace that damn foam! Use a vacuum instead of compressed air for less mess. A $3 O-ring pick set was perfect for scraping sticky foam. I recommend marine fabric to replace the foam dust protector and replacing the rectangular wood slab with something Flying-V shaped.
I saw the Rev a few weeks after this at Preston Poly, co-headlining with Spiritualised (the Rev were the better band, in my opinion). They finished with this, suddenly breaking down from a cacophony, the musicians all swapping their instruments around and the flute player, Suzanne Thorpe I believe, ending up playing bass (And the bass is an integral part of this song). It was an amazing end to the concert, and I’m delighted to find this footage all these years later. I can’t see if Suzanne is on stage for this version, but it sounds equally good.
Yes, I think she's there at 2:40 with her back to the crowd, just like at Preston!
I saw a them at Wolverhampton at around this time with Spiritualised, and Dr Phibes and the House of Wax Equations. A perfect bill for me at the time. This Phoenix Festival performance was amazing too.
